From the 7th untill the 10th of July, the 32 Standing Conference on Organizational Symbolism was held in Utrecht. The theme of the conference was ‘Sport, play and game’. With three colleagues I created a session on playgrounds and street soccer titled ‘Performing the Playground’.

Through sounds, still and moving images and individual voices of children and adults on the playground, that space was (re)created. Different individuals spoke through us, touching the audience. People were then invited into a dialogue about practices of in and exclusion, questions of performance and play, and academic presentation / performance.
